Appeal after cyclist found seriously injured in Clare

Police are appealing for information after a cyclist was found unconscious in the road in Clare.

Emergency services were called to Snow Hill shortly before 11am on Tuesday 5 May after a woman aged in her 70s was discovered with serious head injuries.

She was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment.

Officers say the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear and enquiries are ongoing to establish how the woman was injured.
