This epic broadcast didn’t just revisit one of the biggest days in music history, it recreated the magic. From the goosebumps to the singalongs, it reminded us all why live radio still has that unbeatable power to bring the nation together.

🎤 Reliving a legendary day

Marking 40 years since that unforgettable summer’s day in 1985, Live Aid Relived delivered a 10-hour audio time machine packed with iconic performances, unforgettable moments, and the stories behind them.

Listeners were right there again, whether they watched it live back then or were discovering it for the first time.

As Simon Mayo put it: “Everyone had their own particular moment.”

And you certainly did… One listener shared: “What an emotional few hours, remembering the day, and family members I sat and watched it with who are no longer with me.”
