Woman seriously injured after argument at pub in Wilmslow

A 38-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident

A woman has been seriously injured after an argument turned physical outside a pub in Wilmslow.

The disagreement started in the beer garden of The Carter's Arms in Chapel Lane, in the early hours of Saturday 6 September.

The injured woman needed taking to hospital for treatment.

A 38-year-old woman from Manchester has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

Cheshire Police say they would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.

PC Harry Bayley said: “There were lots of people in the beer garden at the time who may have witnessed the two women arguing.

"I’d urge anyone who saw what happened to contact us so that we can progress with our enquiries.”
