Waterworld reopens after tragic death
A young girl died following an incident at the swimming pool in Hanley on Monday
Waterworld has announced it's reopening after the tragic death of a four-year-old girl.
The young girl died following an incident at the swimming pool in Hanley on Monday (4 August).
The venue has been closed since the incident, to allow for investigations to take place and out of respect for the family.
As of today (6 August), Waterworld has released a statement regarding the venue's re-opening.
A spokesperson from the park said: "Following investigations, reflections, and in close coordination with local authorities, we can now confirm that the Aqua Park, Mini Golf and Mini Village is back open.
"Resuming daily life and operations remains incredibly difficult. Our thoughts are, above all, with the family and their loved ones following the events of Monday.
"We remain committed to supporting the community and would like to thank you all for your support."
