Two people have been arrested following a stabbing in Stoke-on-Trent

Police were called to Havelock Place, Shelton to reports of an injured man

Police have made two arrests following a stabbing in Stoke-on-Trent.

Officers were called to Havelock Place, Shelton, at 12.20am today (Thursday 17th July) following reports of an injured man.

The West Midlands Ambulance Service were also called out.

The man, in his 20s, was taken to hospital with a serious injury to his leg. His injury is not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening at this time.

Two men, both 24 from Stoke-on-Trent, have been arrested on suspicion of section 18 – wounding with intent.

They remain in police custody at this time.
