Teenage boy and a man arrested after cash, drugs and sword seized in Cannock
Over £12k, a metal baseball bat and a suspected drug phone line have also been found
Two people have been arrested in Cannock after thousands of pounds in cash and drugs were found following police searches.
Officers searched a house in the area and seized £12,320 in cash, a concealed sword, a metal baseball bat and a suspected drug line phone.
Another address was also searched and £310 in cash and a small amount of cannabis was found.
A 29-year-old man, from Cannock, has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of class B – cannabis.
A 17-year-old boy, from Cannock, has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B – cannabis.
Both remain in police custody.
Cannock local policing team commander, DCI Al Lyford, said: “This was a successful joint operation that has taken more drugs, cash and weapons off our streets.”
“We will continue to work closely and proactively with the Community Safety Partnership and Cannock Chase District Council to tackle the issues that matter most to local communities.”
