Two men have been jailed after Staffordshire Police found almost £300,000 worth of cannabis in Stoke-on-Trent.

Officers searched an address in Burslem last year and found 600 cannabis plants inside.

Cao Khanh, 25, and Alfred Mustafa, 29, both of no fixed address, were arrested when local officers searched the address in Swan Square.

If sold in deals, the total value of the drugs found was estimated to be between £87,300 and £291,000.

Khanh was sentenced to 14-months imprisonment after he admitted being concerned in the production of a controlled drug of class B – cannabis and abstracting electricity.

Mustafa was jailed for one year after he admitted being concerned in the production of a controlled drug of class B – cannabis.
