Two injured after collision involving car and van
Two men have been injured after a collision involving a car and van near to the Staffordshire and Cheshire border.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the A523 Macclesfield Road in Rushton Spencer just after 10 on Sunday evening.
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a North Staffordshire BASICS doctor responded to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived to find a car and a van which had been involved in a serious collision. The drivers of both vehicles were assessed by ambulance staff.
“The car driver, a man, was found with potentially serious injuries and received treatment on scene before being conveyed to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further checks. The van driver, a man, sustained more serious injuries and received trauma care to stabilise his injuries at the roadside before being conveyed on blue lights and sirens to the same hospital for further emergency care.”
