Two arrested in Cheshire drugs operation

Two people have been arrested as part of a Cheshire police investigation into the supply of illegal drugs.

49-year-old Robert Machin and 22-year-old Sophie Brown were arrested yesterday (11th December) and charged with multiple drugs offences.

The pair are set to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court today (12th December).

A Cheshire police spokesperson said, "Machin, of Albany Mill, Canal Street, Congleton, has since been charged with one count of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs (crack cocaine), four counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs (heroin and cocaine) and one count of possession with intent to supply class B drugs (cannabis).

"Brown, of the Parklands, Congleton, has been charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs (crack cocaine), four counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs (heroin and cocaine) and one count of possession with intent to supply class B drugs (cannabis)."
