Two arrested over violence in Chell

Police in Staffordshire have arrested two people in connection with violence in Stoke-on-Trent.

The force were called to Barber Road in the Chell area at 9.20am on Saturday (28 June).

Two men were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

They remain in a stable condition in hospital.

A 29-year-old man, and a 24-year-old woman, both from Stoke-on-Trent, have been detained on suspicion of wounding with intent and each placed on conditional police bail while inquiries continue.

Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses.
