Two arrested following stabbing in Stoke-on-Trent

Two people have been arrested following a stabbing in Stoke-on-Trent.

Police were called at 6.40pm yesterday (Tuesday 23 September) to Percy Street, Hanley, following reports of an injured man.

Officers attended the scene and found a man in his 30s with serious injuries.

He was taken to hospital and remains in a serious but stable condition however his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A 36-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man, both from Stoke-on-Trent, have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

They remain in police custody for questioning.
