Two arrested over daylight stabbing in Stoke-on-Trent

Two men have been arrested after two people were stabbed in broad daylight in Stoke-on-Trent.

Police were called to reports of a fight at 11.45am today (Saturday 6th June 2026) on The Strand in Longton, with several individuals reportedly involved.

Emergency services responded, and the injured men were transported to hospital with multiple suspected stab wounds.

Suspects in custody

Following the incident, police apprehended two men from Stoke-on-Trent.

A 28-year-old is facing charges of wounding with intent, while a 22-year-old is suspected of grievous bodily harm with intent.

Another man, who fled the scene, is described as white, bald, approximately 5ft 8ins, around middle-aged, wearing black joggers.

Police seek witnesses

The investigation is ongoing, with police reviewing CCTV footage and appealing for witnesses.
