Two arrested after chocolate tub full of cannabis seized

Two men have been arrested after officers found a chocolate tub full of cannabis in Stoke-on-Trent.

Officers stopped a vehicle on Victoria Road, Fenton, just after 2.15pm yesterday (Tuesday) after it was seen driving at speed.

After smelling a strong smell of cannabis, the driver and passenger of the car were searched and officers found a chocolate tub and a gym bag both full of cannabis, a large amount of cash and scales.

A 22-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B – cannabis.

A 23-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B – cannabis and driving with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit.

Both men have been released under investigation whilst our enquiries continue.
