The family of a woman who died after a collision in Tunstall last week have paid tribute to her.

Police were called at 6.30pm on Thursday evening (25 September) to reports that a red VW Polo had collided with a pedestrian on Dunning Street and a house on Madeley Street.

The woman was riding a bicycle at the time of the collision.

The woman, 30-year-old Natasha Woolley from Tunstall, was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries but sadly died last night (Monday 29 September).

Her family are being supported by specialist officers.

The driver of the car, a 20-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent, was arrested on suspicion of driving offences. He has been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

Natasha's family said: “This is a devastating loss. Natie is a deeply loved daughter, sister, granddaughter and auntie. She was also a true friend to all animals - especially cats.

"We will miss her fiery spirit and infectious laugh and are so grateful to her for holding on and giving us the chance to say goodbye.

"We also want to express our heartfelt thanks to the first responders and the staff at Royal Stoke Hospital for their care and compassion. At this difficult time, the family kindly asks for privacy as we grieve."

Police are keen to speak to anyone with any CCTV or dashcam footage from the area or those with any information which could help collision investigators.
