Tributes paid to Leek man who died after collision

Tributes have been paid by the family of a man who died after a collision in Leek.

82 year old Geoff Corden, Leek, sadly died on Thursday May 22nd.

This followed reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a silver Volvo on Selborne Road, at the junction with Cheadle Road.

In a tribute, Geoff’s family said: “Geoff Corden, aged 82, of Leek, was a pedestrian when he was involved in a collision with a car on the Cheddleton Road, Leek on Thursday 22 May.

“The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the members of the public and to the emergency services who came to his assistance.

“Geoff will be sadly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends.”

Police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to make contact.
