Third arrest made in Hanley attempted murder investigation

Suspect from Stoke-on-Trent questioned by police

Staffordshire Police have arrested a third man in connection with a serious assault in Hanley.

The 39-year-old suspect from Stoke-on-Trent was detained on suspicion of attempted murder on 12th May.

He remains in police custody as investigations continue.

Two other men, aged 52 and 53, also from Stoke-on-Trent, have been placed on conditional police bail following their arrest for the same incident.

The victim, a man in his 30s, is currently in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police are appealing for anyone with information or relevant footage from CCTV, dashcams or doorbell cameras to come forward.

Officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the assault.
