Four teenagers arrested following police pursuit of stolen car in Stoke
The suspected stolen car failed to stop for officers
Four teenagers have been arrested after police pursued a suspected stolen car in Stoke-on-Trent.
Staffordshire Police received reports that a Honda had been stolen from outside a home off Dividy Road in Bentilee on Sunday (15th February).
Officers attempted to stop the vehicle around seven hours later on London Road, Stoke.
It failed to stop and crashed on Stoke Road.
The teenagers inside the car attempted to run off but were caught and arrested.
The arrests
A 15-year-old boy, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of:
- aggravated vehicle taking
- attempted theft of a motor vehicle
- driving a motor vehicle dangerously
- failing to stop
- going equipped for theft
- possession of a controlled drug of class B – cannabis
- possession of an offensive weapon in a public place
- theft of a motor vehicle
A 17-year-old boy, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of:
- criminal damage to property valued under £5,000
- driving a motor vehicle dangerously
- three counts of theft of a motor vehicle
A 16-year-old boy, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of:
- aggravated vehicle taking
- driving a motor vehicle dangerously
- failing to stop
- making off without making payment
- theft of a motor vehicle
A 14-year-old boy, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of:
- theft of a motor vehicle
- possession of a controlled drug of class B – cannabis
They've all been bailed with conditions.
