Teenagers arrested after police car chase

Two teenagers have been arrested, after a pursuit in Stoke-on-Trent.
On Sunday (9 August), police received a report that a silver Honda had been at a petrol station on Scotia Road, Burslem, when the driver drove away, without paying.
On Monday (10 August), they received a report that the same car had driven into and damaged six garage doors, on Ronaldsway Drive, Newcastle-under-Lyme.
At 10.40pm on Tuesday (11 August), the silver Honda was seen on Reginald Mitchell Way, Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent.
The vehicle did not stop for officers and continued onto Hollywall Lane, towards Talke Road.
A short pursuit took place, before the vehicle was successfully stung on Chatterley Road.
The driver and a passenger in the car tried to run away, but were caught nearby.
An 18 year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested, on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving without insurance and driving without a licence.
A 19 year-old man, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, has been arrested, on suspicion of theft.
They have both been released on conditional bail.
