Police have arrested a teenager following a fatal collision near Abbots Bromley.

Officers responded to a call following reports of a collision involving a blue Fiat and a pedestrian at the B5013 at Blithfield Reservoir at 9.30pm on Tuesday (12th August)

The pedestrian, a man in his 20's, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

His family are being supported by specially trained officers at this time.

A 17-year-old boy, from Stafford, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He has been released on bail with conditions whilst the investigation continues.

Police are appealing for any witnesses, particularly those travelling along Blithfield Reservoir between 9.15pm and 9.35pm, to contact them.
