Two men from Tamworth have been sentenced to prison following a major drug seizure involving cocaine and cannabis.

Zak Oliver Clark, 31, and Carl Philip Pearson, 35, received jail terms at Stafford Crown Court last Friday, 3rd July.

Clark was sentenced to six years and two months after admitting guilt to several charges, including supply of cocaine and cannabis, possession with intent to supply both class A and class B drugs, production of cannabis, perverting the course of justice, driving whilst disqualified, and driving without insurance.

Pearson received a sentence of three years and ten months after pleading guilty to being involved in the supply of cocaine and cannabis, along with possession with intent to supply controlled drugs of class A and class B.

The duo were detained in February following raids at their homes in Tamworth, where considerable quantities of drugs were confiscated, including a cannabis grow discovered in Clark's loft.

These arrests resulted from Operation Target, initiated in May 2023, aimed at identifying, disrupting, and prosecuting criminals involved in serious offences such as drug trafficking, illegal firearms, knife crime, human trafficking, and sexual exploitation.

Residents with concerns about drug dealing in their area are encouraged to reach out by calling 101 or engaging through Live Chat on the police website.
