Newcastle-under-Lyme man charged following assault in supermarket
Ryan Linyard has also been charged with two counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker
A man's been charged following an assault inside a supermarket in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
31-year-old Ryan Linyard has been accused of causing grievous bodily harm with intent after an incident last Saturday night (13th December).
Officers were called out to Lower Milehouse Lane following reports a man was being assaulted inside a supermarket.
A man in his 40s was taken to hospital and later discharged.
Linyard also faces charges of assaulting two police officers, after he attacked them on the Monday (15th December) whilst they attended an address in the area.
He has been remanded in custody and will next appear at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 16th January 2026.
