A man from Stoke-on-Trent will serve more than three and a half years in prison for drugs offences.

It's after police stopped 27-year-old Ricky Williams on the M6 in Staffordshire last October.

Officers then found £25,000 worth of cocaine hidden in his underwear.

Police later discovered £400 in cash and around 13 hundred pounds worth of cannabis at an address in Fenton.

The 27-year-old from Blurton, was sentenced to 45-months in prison at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Tuesday (27th May), after he pled guilty to possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class A – cocaine and possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B – cannabis, at an earlier hearing.

Williams was arrested in October 2024 after officers stopped a Ford Focus on the M6 in Staffordshire. When officers approached the car, Williams admitted to being in possession of cocaine although it was not found until he was later searched in custody.
