Staffordshire: Police appealing for witnesses following serious collision

A woman has been taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a serious collision in Eccleshall.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, West Midlands Ambulance Service and the air ambulance, also attended the scene at 2pm yesterday (Tuesday).

Two vehicles were involved in the collision at the junction of Swynnerton Road with High Lanes in Sturbridge.

A woman, a passenger in one of the cars, was airlifted to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

A man, the driver of the same car, was taken to hospital by land ambulance with serious injuries. Their family has been informed.

Another man, the driver of the other vehicle, sustained minor injuries and remained at the scene.

The road was closed but has since re-opened. Police are continuing their investigation.
