Two drug dealers have been sentenced after local residents reported suspicious activity in the Western Downs area of Stafford.

The concerns led to police patrols, which gathered important information, including CCTV footage and intelligence indicating drug dealing activities from a home in the neighbourhood.

Christopher Dodd, aged 46, was sentenced to three years and four months imprisonment at Stafford Crown Court last Friday, 30th October.

Dodd admitted to being involved in the supply of class A drugs, including cocaine, and possession of class B drugs, such as ketamine and monkey dust, with intent to supply.

Hayley Brayne, aged 35, was handed a suspended six-month sentence after pleading guilty to being involved in offering to supply monkey dust.

Brayne must also complete 120 hours of unpaid work as part of her sentence.

The court also ordered the forfeiture of the seized drugs.

Detective Constable Hannah Bull, from the County Proactive and Rural Crime Team, highlighted the swift response to community concerns and the successful identification of drug dealing activities.

“This case demonstrates our commitment to disrupting illegal drug supply across the county through community collaboration,” Bull said.

Local residents are encouraged to report suspicious activity to assist in tackling the ongoing issue of illegal drug supply.
