Prolific shoplifter jailed in Crewe
Adrin Pirvu committed the offences in August
A man from Crewe has been jailed, after he admitted stealing more than £6,000 worth of goods, from stores in the town.
Adrin Pirvu appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Thursday 3 September, where he was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison.
The 34 year-old, of Westminster Street, had earlier pleaded guilty to counts of shoplifting, in relation to offences at Asda and Boots, between Sunday 16 August and Sunday 30 August.
After the sentencing, Police Constable Declan Shaughnessy, of Crewe Beat Team, said: “Pirvu is a prolific offender and relentlessly targeted local stores over a two-week period, stealing more than £6,000 worth of items.
“He has no regard for how his crimes affect local businesses and I am grateful that he has now been hauled back to prison for these offences.
“We are dedicated to ensuring our communities remain a safe place to live, work and visit and removing individuals like Pirvu, who are intent on committing crime and causing misery, remains a top priority.”
