Police say two shots were fired on Barrett Drive in Cobridge

A police investigation has been launched after shots were fired at a house in Stoke-on-Trent.

Officers were called to Barrett Drive in Cobridge at around 12.05am on Thursday (11 June) following reports of a shooting.

A window at the house had been smashed and two bullet holes were found inside the house.

Nobody was injured.

A police cordon remains in place while investigations continue.

Residents in the area can expect an increased police presence as officers carry out house to house enquiries.

Officers believe the incident was targeted and say those involved have been safeguarded.

It's also believed the suspects may have been travelling in a white car.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information, CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage to call 101, quoting incident 2 of 11 June.
