Police arrest second teenager after stabbing in Stoke-on-Trent

A second teenage boy has been arrested following a reported stabbing in Hanley.
A 16-year-old from Stoke-on-Trent was arrested on suspicion of affray and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
He has since been bailed with conditions while the investigation continues.
A 17-year-old boy from Stafford, who remains in hospital, has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article in a public place and affray.
Detective Inspector Rebecca Collier, from our criminal investigations department, said: “I’d like to reassure the local community that we have made good progress with our enquiries, and we are no longer looking for anyone else in connection with the investigation.
“I’d like to thank everyone who has been in touch and spoken to officers over the last few days. If you haven’t spoken to us already and you still have information that could help, we still want to hear from you.”
