Police appealing for information following large house fire in Staffordshire

Police are appealing for information following a large house fire in Swynnerton.

Officers were called to Main Street just after 1pm yesterday (Tuesday 20th May) by colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Firefighters managed to put out a large house fire and nobody was reported as injured.

They deemed the fire to have been caused by a lorry colliding with the overhead electrical cables causing them to fall onto the thatched roof.

Detectives say enquiries are ongoing.

Staffordshire Police said:
