Police appeal for witnesses after arson in Congleton
Officers have already arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of arson.
Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after an arson was committed in Congleton.
At around 1.30am this morning, officers found a car on fire in Wood View Row.
They have subsequently arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of arson. He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Officers are asking any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and speak to them.
Sergeant Welch said: “Firstly, we would like to reassure members of the public that this is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no risk to the wider community."
“We have made an arrest and as part of our enquiries, we would ask anyone who saw what happened or has captured any CCTV, video doorbell or dashcam footage which may be useful to please contact us."
