Police appeal following collision on A500

Staffordshire Police are appealing for information after a man sustained serious injuries in a collision on the A500.

They were called at 7.50pm on Saturday (28 February) to the A500 westbound between Talke and Audley.

Two vehicles, a blue Ford Mondeo and a black Nissan Micra, were involved.

Police say one of the vehicles, the Micra, is believed to have broken down prior to the collision.

Officers attended along with colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.

A man was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries.

Police are urging anyone who saw what happened or who may have relevant dashcam footage to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 770 of 28 February.
