Stafford man jailed for 24 years for over a dozen child sex offences
Phillip Arthur Dickin was sentenced yesterday (15th December)
A man from Staffordshire has been sentenced to 24 years in prison after he was found guilty of thirteen child sex offences and a count of child cruelty.
54-year-old Phillip Arthur Dickin was found guilty at Stafford Crown Court of:
- Two counts of rape a female under 15
- Four counts of indecency with a child
- Seven counts of indecent assault on a girl
- One count of child cruelty
DC Emily Knapp, the officer in the case, said: “I would like to thank the victim in this case for their incredible bravery in coming forward to report these offences and giving evidence during the trial.
“This is a significant prison sentence, which demonstrates the seriousness of Dickin’s offending, which he consistently denied.”
