Phil Taylor to return to darts, teaming up with Adrian Lewis
16-time world champion set for comeback in Portsmouth this November
Darts legend Phil Taylor is set to make a return to competitive action, teaming up with long-time friend Adrian Lewis at the MODUS Super Series International Pairs Tournament in Portsmouth.
The tournament will take place from 23rd to 28th November, marking Taylor's first competitive appearance since his retirement in 2018.
Taylor, 66, who claimed his 16th and final world championship title five years before stepping back from the sport, expressed his excitement about teaming up with Lewis once again.
"I've been asked plenty of times about coming back, but it would have to be for the right reason," Taylor said.
"Adrian is one of the very few people I'd come out of retirement to play alongside, and the MODUS Super Series is the place I wanted to do it."
"We've got a lot of history together, we know each other's games inside out, and I'm looking forward to getting back up there with him," he added.
Taylor and Lewis have a storied history together, having previously combined to win four World Cup of Darts titles.
Fans of the sport will be eager to see this celebrated partnership reignite on the professional stage come November.
