Pedestrian injured following collision involving a van in Endon

Police are appealing for any witnesses

A pedestrian has been taken to hospital following a collision involving a van in Endon.

Police were called out at 12.30pm today (Thursday 10th April) to the A53 Leek Road.

The man's injuries are believed to be potentially life-threatening. His next of kin has been informed.

The van driver, who was not injured, remained at the scene and is assisting officers with their inquiries.

The road was closed at the junction of the B5051 Clay Lake up to St Luke’s CE Academy following the collision, but has since reopened.

Staffordshire Police said:

"We are keen to speak to anyone who was travelling in the area with any information or dashcam footage which could help collision investigators.
