Three people have been injured, one of them seriously following a collision in Leek last night (15 May).

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to reports of a road traffic collision shortly before 7pm.

Crews say it involved two cars on Macclesfield Road in Rudyard, Leek.

Two ambulances, a BASICS emergency doctor and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Tatenhill attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival we found three men from the cars.

“The first man who was a passenger was assessed and had sustained serious injuries. He received advanced trauma care from ambulance staff at the scene before being conveyed to Royal Stoke University Hospital by air for further treatment.

“The second and third men who were the drivers of the two cars were assessed and had sustained injuries not believed to be serious. They were conveyed to Royal Stoke Hospital by land for further assessment.”

“No further patients required treatment.”
