Man seriously assaulted in Stoke-on-Trent

Police have since arrested two men and two women

Staffordshire Police have arrested four people after a man was seriously assaulted in Stoke-on-Trent.

The force were called to Hanley Road, Sneyd Green, yesterday (7 May) to reports of an injured man.

He was taken straight to hospital.

Police later arrested a 45-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, on suspicion of Section 18 – wounding with intent, and a 28-year-old woman, of no fixed address, on suspicion wound/inflict grievous bodily harm without intent.

Both have been released under investigation.

Officers also arrested a 46-year-old man, of no fixed address, on suspicion of Section 18 – wounding with intent, and a 42-year-old woman, from Stoke-on-Trent, on suspicion wound/inflict grievous bodily harm without intent.

They both remain in custody.
