Man jailed for assaulting woman in Crewe
Kelvin Palin, of HMP Fosse Way, appeared at Crewe Magistrates
A 22-year-old man has been jailed after being found guilty of assaulting a woman in Crewe.
Kelvin Palin, currently serving time at HMP Fosse Way, appeared at Crewe Magistrates Court on 29 October for trial after pleading not guilty to two counts of assault by beating.
He was found guilty and sentenced to eight weeks in prison, to run consecutively with his current sentence for a previous violent offence.
The assaults took place at a residential address in Crewe in 2023.
PC Ryan Foster said:
"Palin’s 41-month sentence for intentional strangulation and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, which he was found guilty of in April this year, has now been lengthened after further offences were reported.
"I hope his time behind bars will curb his violent behaviour towards other people.
"It’s shocking behaviour which we will do all we can to bring before the courts to seek justice for victims."
