Man left with head injury after Stoke assault

A man has been arrested, after an assault in Stoke-on-Trent.
Just after 5.30pm on Saturday 10 January, police were called to reports of a man with a head injury on The Strand in Longton, by colleagues at West Midlands Ambulance Service.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance and his condition is not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
A 30-year-old man, from the Stoke-on-Trent area, has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
He remains in custody, while enquiries continue.
