Man dies following collision in Leek

A man has died after a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Leek.
It happened yesterday.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 5.46pm to the junction of Selbourne Road and Cheddleton Road.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said:
“On arrival, crews found bystanders administering CPR and a defibrillator had been applied to a man, the pedestrian, in cardiac arrest.
“Ambulance staff immediately administered advanced life support but, sadly, it quickly became clear he could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene".
