Man charged with murder following death of a woman in Burton-on-Trent

A man has appeared in court after he was charged following the death of a woman in Burton-on-Trent in 2022.
Dale Cole, aged 38, of Burton, has been charged with the murder of 39-year-old Lisa Holland after she died at a house on Victoria Crescent on 20 October 2022.
He has also been charged with engaging in controlling/coercive behaviour in a relationship.
Lisa’s family continue to be supported by specialist officers.
Cole appeared before magistrates at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Wednesday 9th July) and was remanded in custody.
He is due to appear at Stafford Crown Court tomorrow (10 July).
