Man charged with arson after fire involving skip and bins in Stafford

He has been remanded in custody ahead of a crown court hearing

A man has been charged with arson following a fire in Stafford.

Andrew Stephen Gillett, 31, of no fixed address, has been charged.

Officers and firefighters were called to Eastgate Street on Monday 17th August following reports of a fire involving a skip and several bins.

Gillett appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Tuesday 18th August.

He was remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at Stafford Crown Court on a date and time to be fixed.
