Man charged after Runcorn British Legion assault
It happened on Sunday night
A man has been charged, after an incident at the Royal British Legion in Runcorn.
Gerrard Foott, of Rupert Row, Runcorn, was arrested in the early hours of Monday 25 August.
The 58-year-old has since been charged with assault, possession of an offensive weapon and having an article with intent to destroy property.
He appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 26 August, where he was remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday 23 September.
The charges relate to an incident that occurred at the Royal British Legion on Castle Road, Runcorn, at around 11.30pm on Sunday 24 August.
