Detectives investigating a fatal collision near Middlewich have charged a man.

Adam Boulton has been charged with causing a death by dangerous driving, dangerous driving, and drink driving.

The 36-year-old of Essington Way, Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, has been released on bail and is set to appear at Crewe Magistrates’ Court next month.

The charges relate to a collision which occurred at around 5.30pm on Thursday 12 December, on the A54, Holmes Chapel Road, in Sproston.

Boulton was driving a grey Range Rover Velar which was involved in a crash with a white Vauxhall Corsa.

Paula Chadwick, 52, who was driving the Corsa, sustained fatal injuries and died on Friday 13 December at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
