A man has been charged after two men were stabbed with scissors in Stoke-on-Trent

Abdulrahin Abbker, aged 24, of no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of wounding with intent, one count of possessing a sharp pointed article in a public place and criminal damage to a property valued under £5,000.

Police were called to Hanley Park at 7.20pm on Tuesday (13th May).

One man, in his 30s, had been stabbed in the leg. Another man, in his 40s, had been stabbed in the abdomen.

Both of their injuries were not deemed life-threatening or life-changing. They were taken to hospital for treatment by paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service.

Abbker is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Thursday 15th May).
