A 43-year-old man has been banned from entering Crewe for the next two years after a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) was issued by Warrington Magistrates’ Court.

Damian Wisedale was handed the CBO on Friday, July 25, following a series of shoplifting and theft offences.

The court ruling prohibits him from entering the entire Crewe Parish Boundary, which includes the areas of Crewe East, Crewe North, Crewe St Barnabas, Crewe West, Crewe South, and Crewe Central.

In addition to the geographic exclusion, Wisedale is also barred from entering any Co-op store across Cheshire.

The order will remain in effect until July 24, 2027. Breaching any of its conditions would constitute a criminal offence, which could lead to further prosecution.

Authorities say the CBO aims to protect businesses and the local community from repeat offending.

Inspector Dan Welch said: “Orders such as CBOs are one of many tools that allow officers to deter thieves and prevent crime in our communities.

“I welcome the order handed to Wisedale as we tackle this offending head-on.

“Anyone who encounters him breaching any of the above restrictions is urged to contact Cheshire Police via the website or call 101, to report it."
