Man arrested for arson following Burslem fire
Police have arrested a man on suspicion of arson and cultivating a cannabis plant
Police have arrested a man on suspicion of arson and cultivating a cannabis plant - following a large fire in Burslem this week.
The force were called to reports of a blaze on Waterloo Road on Tuesday (21 January).
Officers closed off Waterloo Road and Mayer Bank while firefighters attended the scene with paramedics.
Three people were rescued from inside by fire crews.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated but officers say they found cannabis growing equipment at the scene.
The 58-year-old suspect, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been released whilst enquires continue.
