An 83-year-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a collision in Stoke-on-Trent.

Peter Wood was the driver of a Ford which collided with a motorbike in Dresden last year.

Emergency services were called out to Belgrave Road just before 12.30pm on Monday 29 December 2025 following a collision between a grey SYM Jet motorbike and a silver Ford Ecosport.

The rider of the motorbike, 41-year-old Michael Bibby, of Blurton, Stoke-on-Trent, died at the scene.

Wood is due at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 9 July.
