Two men charged following Longton stabbings

Two men have been charged after two others were stabbed in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, police say.

Emergency services were called out to The Strand at around 11.45am on Saturday (6 June).

They'd had reports of a group of people fighting with weapons in the street.

Two men were taken to hospital with injuries, and are now in a stable condition.

Police have now confirmed that two men have been charged. They include Aldo Hala, 22, of Goldenhill, Stoke-on-Trent, and Konstandin Kola, 28, of Penkhull, Stoke-on-Trent.

Hala has been charged with two counts of Section 18 – wounding, one count of violent disorder and one count of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

Kola has been charged with two counts of Section 18 – wounding with intent, one count of violent disorder, driving a motor vehicle dangerously and using a motor vehicle without third party insurance.

They're both due at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (8 June).
