Leek man charged after crash left man, 85, dead and woman injured

A man has been charged with two offences after a crash which left an 85-year-old man dead and a woman seriously injured in Longsdon.
Lee Gordejczuk, 51, of Leek, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The charges relate to a collision between a VW Golf and a VW Caddy on the A53 Leek Road on 7 September 2025.
The passenger in the Caddy, 85-year-old Barrie Cooper, from Crewe, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Caddy, a woman in her 50s, was seriously injured.
Gordejczuk is due at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 17 July.
