Man charged after alleged assault in Leek and railway station incident
He's been charged with a number of offences
A man has been charged with a string of offences after an alleged assault in Leek and an incident at Rugeley Trent Valley railway station.
Officers were first called to an address in Leek at around 8.10am on Thursday 9 July following reports that a woman had been assaulted.
Damage was also reported at the address.
Later that day, police received reports of a man on top of a storage container next to Rugeley Trent Valley railway station.
Kieron Antony Walker, 27, of Hednesford, has since been charged with:
- two counts of assault by beating
- one count of threats to kill
- engaging in controlling / coercive behaviour
- harassment without violence
- threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place
- three counts of criminal damage to property valued under £5000
- one count of causing an obstruction of an engine / carriage using the railway
- and assault a constable in execution of duty.
He appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Saturday 11 July and was granted bail.
Walker is next due to appear at Stafford Crown Court on 10 August.
