Staffordshire-based JCB has secured a $205 million military contract to supply the United States armed forces.

The deal will see JCB supply 535 machines to the United States Marine Corps.

The machines, militarised versions of JCB’s 437HT wheeled loader, will be supplied over the next decade.

Full production is expected to start in 2027, after a number of test machines are sent.

This is the third contract signed between the United States Marine Corps and JCB.

Chris Giorgianni, Vice President of JCB Government & Defense said: “We are delighted to have secured our third contract in a row from the U.S. Marine Corps as it is testament to the reliability, robustness and suitability of JCB machines in military applications worldwide.”
